Online Bulletin Boards and Forums are a great resource for individuals, seeking information, answers to specific questions, feedback to an idea or just some entertaining interaction with other “like-minded individuals”.
The Bulletin Boards on RealEstateInvestorsOnline.com have been set up with you, the Real Estate Investor in mind. It doesn’t take a lot of technical knowledge or high tech savvy to contribute to an online Bulletin Board. For “Newbies” it is a great place to find a mentor or financial partner and for the “Experienced Investor” it’s a great place to build relationships and network. It can also be a place to “Give Back” and generate some “Positive Karma” by helping others.
If you’ve never used a Bulletin Board or Forum the following information has been assembled to help you feel more comfortable contributing and interacting online. Typically, Bulletin Boards are visited by people who “Read but don’t Contribute”. For these people the online experience is really just “one sided voyeurism”. They watch but don’t join in. But Real Estate Investors are "Risk Takers". They don't sit on the sidelines. They "Take Action". Here are some tips to help you get the most from this Bulletin Board.
The Bulletin Board is broken up into Sections.
The Sections are broken up into Categories.
The Categories are broken up into Posts.
The Posts can be Replied To.
The combination of Posts and Replies are called a Thread.
It’s that simple!
Let’s say you find a Section of interest. You find and read an interesting post. You can reply to that post with your own information or comment and become a part of the thread. Or, you may have a specific question and not see it addressed on the Bulletin Board. You can identify the Section that is appropriate and pick the category that best fits your question and start a New Thread by making the First Post.
Here’s the cool part about the RealEstateInvestorsOnline.com Bulletin Boards…When you post or reply to a post, the Bulletin Board will automatically email you when someone else replies to your post or reply. Also, at a glance, you can scan the Bulletin Boards to see if there are any new posts since the last time you logged on simply by looking at the left hand column of the Bulletin Board. There you will see an icon that looks like a file folder. If there is nothing new…The file is Blue. If there is something to be seen…The file is Green.
Never posted before? Here's a great place to start. Reply to this post and join the thread.
